Sydney veteran Luke Parker has provided an update on his future amidst rumours of a move away from the Swans.

With a year remaining on his deal, Parker has been unable to solidify his spot amongst the explosive Sydney midfield, managing just eight senior games during the home and away season, and with vocalised interest interstate, a new set of stripes may be on the cards.

“At the moment, I’m contracted to Sydney”, Parker told SEN’s Breakfast.

“The thing is you never rule out what the future looks like.

“At the end of the year I’ll sit down, talk to the coaches and footy club about what the future looks like but at the moment I’m contracted, just enjoying this finals series and focusing on that.”

North Melbourne coach Alastair Clarkson has expressed serious interest in bringing Parker to Arden Street, who’s experience, and leadership would prove invaluable to the youthful Kangaroos.

While Parker is remaining focused on Sydney’s premiership charge ahead, the 31-year-old’s management team appears to be in talks with the Victorian club.

“That’s what my manager’s doing at the moment,” Parker said.

“I said ‘I’ll focus on football; you do what you do’, so at the moment I’m just focused on the footy.”

Parker amounted 12 disposals and three clearances during the Swans’ Qualifying derby victory on Saturday, as they look ahead to their Preliminary final contest in two weeks’ time.
