GWS utility James Peatling has been at the forefront of several rumours, with the out-of-contract midfielder expected to test his value during the off-season.

Off the back of a strong 2024, averaging just under 14 disposals and over three clearances a game, the 24-year-old has been linked to the Western Bulldogs, according to Mitch Cleary.

“I just want to keep an eye out on the Giants,” Cleary said on SEN Breakfast.

“He’s been spoken about a little bit over the last few weeks; James Peatling.

“Not many would have heard of him this time six or eight weeks ago, but watch this space on the Bulldogs, they have come hard late for him.

“That 23–24-year-old age bracket, he will fit nicely in their midfield with concerns around (Jack) Macrae and (Caleb) Daniel, whether they stay, they are a bit older than him.

“They’re contracted but are linked to a potential move so a bit of water to go under the bridge post-finals for the Bulldogs and what happens with their list management.”

It has been reported that Peatling does have a deal on the table from the Giants, but with interest growing around the competition, a move away from Sydney may be on the cards.
