REPORT: Geelong star a late out ahead of 2024 finals opener

A massive blow for the Cats as Tom Stewart has been withdrawn from the side ahead of their qualifying final against Port Adelaide, reports Seven's Mitch Cleary.

Stewart was subbed out of their Round 24 clash with West Coast with hamstring complaints, labelled initially as precautionary.

The late change sees the contest level out, with Power absentees Kane Farrell and Dan Houston leaving a big hole amongst Ken Hinkley’s men.

The finals series kicks off tonight, as the Stewart-less Cats take on the Power at Adelaide Oval.
