England seamer Ollie Robinson has been taken to the sword playing County Cricket for Sussex.

The right-armer was bowling to Leicestershire’s Louis Kimber, who was batting at number eight, and went on to score a ridiculous 243 from 127 balls.

A lot of that damage came from the 59th over where Robinson bowled nine balls thanks to three no-balls, all against Kimber.

Kimber took the over for 6, 6nb, 4, 6, 4, 6nb, 4, 6nb and 1 - for a grand total of 43.

It beats the previous record of 38 runs from a single over in English First Class cricket which was smashed by Andrew Flintoff against fellow ex-international Alex Tudor in 1998.

While Robinson was taken apart with figures of 2/105 from his 20 overs, Sussex held on to win as Leicestershire couldn’t chase the target of 464, with Kimber dismissed by Aussie Nathan McAndrew as the total sat at 445.

The over is also believed to be the most expensive in First Class cricket history.
