ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the Chicago Bulls are set to trade for Oklahoma City Thunder’s Josh Giddey.

The breaking news report suggests that the Bulls will trade Alex Caruso to the Thunder in exchange for Australian young gun Giddey.

Caruso, 30, is a two-time All-Defensive guard who won a championship with the LA Lakers in 2020.

The Thunder land a key piece in their potential championship picture, while the Bulls pick up a talented youngster to rebuild around.

Boomers star Giddey, 21, was drafted by the Thunder with Pick 6 in the 2021 NBA Draft. He made the All-Rookie Second Team in 2022.

Just recently, the Melbourne native voiced his desire to remain with the Thunder after being a key figure in the franchise’s ascension from bottom of the table to playoffs.

“I love the city, I love the team and I’m excited to keep going with the guys we have,” he told Code Sports.

“Definitely (I want to repay the faith). I love my guys, a lot of us started together when we weren’t winning games and we were right at the bottom of the table.

“Now we’re at a point two or three years later where we’re competing for championships and we’re right there.”

No picks were exchanged in the trade.
